What is Jute?

Jute is a natural golden fiber that has been in use since ancient times. With its inherent strength, jute has been used to create everything from mats, ropes and even handbags. Additionally, it is widely used as a green packaging solution for eco-friendly products.

Jute is made from plants that grow in tropical climates and can be harvested without harming the land or wildlife.  Known as the golden fiber of Bangladesh as it grows exclusively in this region. This plant produces long, fine fibers that can be used in the production of a range of diverse products. It has been used for thousands of years to make products like bags, ropes, and beautiful handicrafts. Jute is getting a new lease on life as the top green packaging solution.

Green Packaging Solution

Jute is an eco-friendly material because it’s biodegradable, renewable, and sustainable. It also helps save on costs associated with manufacturing other types of packaging material—like plastic bags. A jute bag, for example, will break down in soil within months, if it ends up in the trash or if you dispose of it at the end of its useful life.

Also known as burlap, jute is one of the most eco-friendly fibers you can use for packaging. It’s entirely made from plants and therefore doesn’t require any synthetic dyes or chemicals to dye it, making it a great alternative to plastics and other unsustainable materials.

But what about the look?

Jute is beautiful! It is natural in color and can be printed. This allows you to get your product packaged in style while still doing your part for the environment. The fibers have a lovely golden sheen that makes any product look more luxurious than if it were made from synthetic materials. So whether you’re looking for a sustainable alternative to plastic bags or just want something pretty, jute might be just what you’re looking for!
